In July 2026, Revolut received authorisation from Colombia's Superintendencia Financiera (SFC) to establish Revolut Bank Colombia S.A. — but that's an incorporation licence, not a launch. The bank is in a "pre-operative" stage, a standard step before Colombian regulators allow full public operations, with a targeted 2026 launch and $37.5 million already committed to building the operation. If you hold a Revolut account opened in a country where it's already live — the UK, EEA, Brazil, Mexico and others — your existing card generally still works for spending in Colombia the same way any international card does, subject to standard currency conversion. There's no separate "Colombian Revolut" product to sign up for locally yet.

Unlike most of the region, Colombia isn't figuring this out as it goes — it was the first Latin American country to regulate online gambling, back in 2016.
